I made something like this on accident once and for the life of me I haven't been able to recreate it. I think I had a setup so on half the zones there was a gradient of 4 seconds I think going from R:000 G:191 B:255 to R:000 G:000 B:255 at 1.2 seconds then in the direct middle R:255 G:000 B:255 and then going backwards, R:000 G:000 B:255 at 2.8 seconds then R:000 G:191 B:255 at 4, and then on the other half was basically the same gradient but the beginning, ending, and direct middle colors were switched. I don't remember if there was anything else in the profile but somehow this created a cyan and blue gradient across the mousepad while a pink wave was constantly circling. The closest thing to what I mean is the default spiral rainbow, where the colors are constantly circling the pad, except it was just one color circling and an unmoving gradient on all other zones.
